Like katazome, the pasted areas stay white, but tsutsugaki’s major characteristic is the freedom of expression unique to hand-drawing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor either technique, the subsequent steps are the same.\u003cbr\u003eOnce the paste has dried, dye is applied with brushes.
